The Kingdom of Science and Tsukasa's Empire continue to battle for control over the world after a mysterious blue light brought humanity back from extinction. Chrome surrenders and is captured by Ukyo. Hyoga dangles Chrome at the waterfall while Tsukasa interrogates him.

Senku wins Chrome over to reveal the locations of three pillars of Tsukasa's army. Tsukasa asks for one more tribute to make sure Chrome is being truthfully loyal. The next day, a blimp appears in the village and drops supplies from a girl named Asagiri Gen.

A thousand years after an apocalyptic event left humanity almost extinct, a group of scientists and villagers attempt to restore civilization with the discovery of a miraculous stone. Chrome has been captured by Tsukasa, who knows of the village's existence. Chrome attempts to persuade him, but Tsukasa doesn't believe that man could have revived Senku.

Having been revived from a petrified state, Senku and his friend Taiju use their skills to rebuild civilization.

A thousand years ago, a nameless science-loving student and his master, a famous scientist known as "The Kingdom of Science" (or simply "Kingdom") created the Elixir of Life (命の薬, Inochi no Kusuri), a liquid capable of turning a human being into stone. While the master drank it and became petrified, he left the bottle to the student with instructions to bring him back to life once society's state is revealed. However, the petrification ended up being permanent and both were forgotten until they were found in present day Japan by Taiju Oki and Senku Ishigami.

Dr. Stone (Japanese: Dr.ストーン Hepburn: Dokutā Sutōn) is a Japanese manga series written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi, serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since March 6, 2017 with the individual chapters collected and published by Shueisha into fifteen tankōbon volumes as of September 2019. The series is also licensed for an English release by Viz Media. An anime television series adaptation by TMS Entertainment aired from July to December 2019. A second season has been announced and will air sometime in 2020

In this Japanese anime series, two young men at opposite ends of the 19th century try to build a better future. In the year 5,000 B.C., a powerful man named Senku is revived from suspended animation. While Tsukasa interrogates Chrome, Ukyo lies about how Chrome was scouting caves; Senku finishes making the locomotive.

Spirit points to the locomotive and says, "Okay everybody, I want to you meet Robert the Locomotive." Senku takes a model of a train and tells Magma he wants him permission to attack Tsukasa and to add Chrome to their group.

Ishigami Village is an anime-only setting based off the real world island of Ishigami Island in the East China Sea. Most of the significant events from the series have taken place at this location, with several subplots also occurring there. Stone World The main setting for the series in which Taiju Oki and Senku Ishigami awaken after being petrified for 3,700 years and meet Tsukasa Shishio and Yo Uei. Tsukasa's Empire A militaristic faction founded by Tsukasa Shishio which controls most of Japan's land.
