A few thousand years after the world's population was petrified by a sudden crisis, a boy named Taiju is about to make his feelings known to his schoolmate Yuzuriha. Before he can, though, a blinding green light strikes both of them and the rest of the world. Taiju awakens to find himself petrified, and finds one other survivor: his science-loving friend Senku. As Senku tries to figure out what happened and how they can survive, Taiju learns that they first must free themselves from the stone walls around them.

High schooler Taiju Ogi wants nothing more than to confess his love to his classmate Yuzuriha Ogawa. Reawakening in an Earth that's been a post apocalyptic wasteland for millennia, high school student Taiju Oki finds himself surrounded by stone statues of his friends and former classmates. The two then set out to free every petrified human on the planet one by one with the help of Taiju's love interest Yuzuriha and Senku's science knowledge. Together, all four friends must rebuild society from scratch, starting with science and medicine.

Taiju gets knocked unconscious by Senku, and upon awakening ten days later he discovers the two of them were moved to a different location. After defeating Tsukasa in combat, Taiju leaves the village with Yuzuriha and the other villagers.

After a group of friends accidentally discover the formula to resurrect petrified people, they use their newfound power to re-establish the world they once knew.
